Movie Night: Cannibal Campout
8-10 at The (New) Corpse Space 1511 N. Milwaukee 2nd Floor
January 06, 2012
In its 6 plus years, Movie Night has yet to screen a cannibal film. Sure, we’ve had movies where folks get eaten by sand (“Blood Beach”), by liquor (“Street Trash”), by C.H.U.D.s (“C.H.U.D.”). We even watched something called “Death Bed: The Bed That Eats.” But people-eating-people is a line we’ve yet to cross.
Until now. Be prepared to be seriously grossed out by the only cannibal film ever to come out of New Jersey (certainly the only one from 1988): “Cannibal Campout.”
Hosted and curated by Peter Speer, who has been hosting Movie Night parties for the past six years. His youth was shaped by cult and trash cinema shows like Up All Night, and is one of the proud few to have seen both edits of the streetfighting classic “Lethal Ninja.”
